Chapter 9: A New Friend

Sylvie looked up, and saw Shiro.
"Shiro?" she gasped.
Shiro cackled coldly.
"Call me Dark Shiro now, Sylvie."
Before Sylvie could decipher what happened, Shiro headbutted her with Zen Headbutt, and started flailing to deal extra damage.
"Sylvie, no! Use Swift on Shiro!" cried Lindsey.
Sarah stepped in, smiling.
"Pokemon to the rescue," said Sarah.
"Go easy on him. Shiro is still Shiro, just brainwashed." replied Sylvie through clenched teeth.
Sylvie unleashed many stars, and it was all Shiro could do to get away from the Sylveon and dodge.
Sarah did the same, but this time it hit.
"Argh... the power..." growled Shiro, a bruise on his leg.
"Sylvie! While he's recovering, use Sand Attack!" cried Lindsey.
"Are you insane? I don't know that move!" cried Sylvie.
"Just kick up some dust!"
"Alright!"
Just as Shiro got ready a Dark Pulse, harboring his darkest thoughts, Sylvie turned backwards and kicked a dusty sign fiercely, kicking up dust.
"Augh!" cried Shiro, dust in his eyes. The pulse clumsily came out, but didn't hit Sylvie or Sarah.
"Let me finish this. We need to find a way to break Shiro's Dark Ball." said Typhlosion.
In the corner of her eye, Sylvie saw Zachary running down the stairs, ready to command his Pokemon.
"Typhlosion! Use Blast Burn!" cried Zachary.
"Fine. Don't expect me to be able to use it again too soon, though." replied the large Pokemon.
Flames flaring up, Typhlosion blew fire from his mouth. Columns of fire rose around him, and started to zoom in on the Shadow Elite.
"Kennedy to Keldeo. Blast the flames with Hydro Pump, now!" growled Kennedy.
Meanwhile, Ani watched it all, face as hard as steel, and seemingly happy to see Pokemon injured.
Dark Keldeo let loose a powerful blast of water, but alas, the fire was seemingly unaffected.
"Ungh!" cried Kennedy as the flames ripped at the Pokemon.
"What happened to Archen and Shiro?" cried Zachary.
"Somehow, this 'Team Plasma' managed to turn them against us! The legendaries Keldeo and Terrakion are also under their spell!" replied Lindsey.
"How do we free them?"
"I dunno! Try breaking the balls that contain the Shadow Elite! Make them faint, then target the ball they go into!"
Zachary seemed to nod as the flames died down.
"Huff..huff.." huffed Typhlosion.
"Typhlosion, return! Come on out, Oshawott!" cried Zachary.
A red light enveloped Typhlosion, and Oshawott appeared in his stead.
"Wow. Better get moving." said Oshawott as he saw the enemy.
Shiro and Kennedy were crumpled, burns covering them (of course, Kennedy was retracted into her stone), but Keldeo, Terrakion and Archen were okay.
"Return, Shiro and Kennedy!" cried Ani.
Eyes narrowing, Sylvie saw Shiro go into a deep purple ball and Kennedy into a white and orange ball.
Purple... white and orange...
"Sarah! Attack the white and orange ball! I'll attack the purple one!" cried Sylvie.
"Fine." said Sarah.
Whipping out her ribbons, Sarah cracked her ribbons on the Timer Ball Kennedy went into, whipping them relentlessly.
"Hey!" cried Ani.
Seeing what they were attempting, Zachary pointed his hand.
"Oshawott, use Razor Shell on the purple ball! We need to get Shiro back!" cried Zachary.
"Of course! He's a nice guy!" replied Oshawott.
Sylvie let Oshawott take out his belly shell and use it to attack Shiro's Ball, then decided to attack Archen first to try to get him back.
"Archen! Over here!" cried Sylvie.
Archen's eyes darted over to Sylvie.
"Over I come, enemy." hissed Archen.
As he glided over, Archen started to use Ancient Power.
"Egad!" cried Sylvie, eyes widening.
"Taste boulders, enemy!"
The rocks swelled until they were about the size of the dragon skeleton, then flew out.
"Hi-ya!"
Sylvie tried to run, but in the end the rocks found her.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" screamed Sylvie.
The rocks were razor-sharp, boring into her fur. Above her, Sylvie could hear Archen cackling.
"This is the end..."
Suddenly, though, the rocks broke above her, shattered by a force.
A black Umbreon appeared, panting.
"Shiro?" cried Sylvie.
"Sarah freed me... Please.. just give chase to the thugs who stole the skeleton..."
panted Shiro, covered with bruises head to toe.
"Wait! No! I'll stay and fight until I cannot!"
"Just go! I'll free Archen and the Musketeers! Kennedy has also been freed, but is too weak to fight! Go!"
Sylvie quivered, then sighed.
"If you must."
Darting out the door, Sylvie ran towards the Pinwheel Forest.

Running through the street, Sylvie tried hard to avoid human eyes, which worked
"Look! Its a rare Pokemon! Get it!" cried a voice.
...miserably.
"Aah! Get away from me!" cried Sylvie.
Risking a glance behind her, Sylvie saw three Youngsters pursing her, clutching Pokeballs.
"Get over here so that my Patrat can knock you out!" cried the lead Youngster.
"Let my Purrloin use Scratch!" cried another.
"Come back! My Lillipup wants to use his Tackle on you!" cried the last one.
"Never!" replied Sylvie.
A ball hit her, but bounced off harmlessly.
"Wait, has it been caught already? Aww...."
Sylvie let out a whew, as she was worried that the youngsters would keep on pursing her.
Pinwheels were inserted into the grass by the asphalt road, blowing in the breeze.
"I need to hurry! Who knows what has happened by now..."
Suddenly, she saw a dark gap in the trees, with a sign by it that said:

                                PINWHEEL FOREST

Sylvie sighed.
"I'm here. Time to look for the skull."
She dove into the darkness, unaware of what may happen.

Sylvie emerged in the dark forest, trees ruffling and leaves falling. Several humans were wandering around, admiring the Shroomish and Foongus wandering around and searching for the elemental monkeys in rustling grass.
"Hey! That's MY tall grass, human!" cried an Audino.
Sylvie decided not to look, and ran off to a side path.
Branches fell behind her, and Caterpie glared at the pink Pokemon as she crunched over leaves.
"I wonder how humans never saw non-native Pokemon here... I mean, they're here, just hard to come by! Sigh..." pondered Sylvie.
Nearby, she saw large mushrooms growing, but avoided them when she saw little eyes on them.
As she ran through, though, Sylvie saw a moss-covered rock surrounded by tall grass.
"Huh... I feel the aura of a Leafeon here.." she mumbled. "I should investigate. Maybe I can find a new friend."
Charging up energy, she used Fire Spin, burning away some tall grass and clearing a safe path to the mossy rock.
"Careful, Sylvie... a Pokemon Ranger may appear and try to catch me..."
"W-who said that?" cried Sylvie. "Show yourself, or f-feel the wrath of my fearsome Fire Spin!"
A Leafeon leapt onto the mossy rock.
"Why, hello, Sylvie. I'm Laura. Why are you here?" said the Leafeon, the sunlight streaming through the leaves hitting the leaves on Laura beautifully.
"Who are you," asked Sylvie, raising an eyebrow, "and how do you know my name?"
Laura purred.
"Sylvie, I've heard about you from N. I am his loyal Pokemon, and I wish to help you find a skull that I think you may want to see." said Laura.
Sylvie felt starstruck by Laura. She reminded her so much of...Ariel.
"Um... sure. Just don't lead me into any sorta Team Plasma trap, please." stammered Sylvie.
Laura laughed, and tossed some of her leafy fur to the side of her head.
"Why should I? You aren't really any threat or anything. Let's just be friends, I don't want to fight you."
Sylvie raised an eyebrow.
"Um... okay. Can you tell me more about N, though? He seems.. mysterious."
Laura laughed.
"Eh, I don't know much. He just can talk to me for some reason, and has a dang good cooking skill. In fact, you should try some of his delicious Bluk Pies sometime! He should win Unova's Best Cook for that." replied Laura.
Sylvie nodded.
"Just show me the skull, please, I don't have much time."
Lauren nodded.
"Okay, I don't mind."
Lauren bounded deeper into the woods, and Sylvie had no choice but to follow.

"I. Just. Love. Logs." grumbled Laura, voice full of sarcasm.
"Say... that rock felt smooth to the touch. Any idea what the rock does?" replied Sylvie.
They were balancing on a slippery hollow log high above a bottomless abyss, trying their best not to be swallowed by the fog beneath them. Like the white fur of Reshiram...
Laura shrugged.
"Eh, I dunno. N came here with me one day, and we trained a bit. I was an Eevee from the Eevee Clan back then... and all of a sudden, I evolved!" replied Laura.
Sylvie's eyes widened, and she nearly teetered over.
"Laura... I once was also a part of the Eevee Clan. Do you remember Ariel, and the attack?" asked Sylvie.
Laura raised an eyebrow.
"Barely, but yes. Ariel was a sweet Vaporeon, and she always talked about her children, Sylvie, Sarah and Storm. Then, one day, Team Plasma attacked, burning the Eevee Tree to the ground and stealing everything the clan had. Shortly afterwards, N rescued me and my sister Espeon... but Espeon was captured by Team Rocket in the night, was carried away on a plane, and we never heard from her again." said Laura, sadly.
"Laura! I'm Sylvie, and my twin Sarah is also safe! But I know that our mother is now in Team Plasma..." cried Sylvie.
Laura's leaf tail curled around Sylvie, and Sylvie's longest ribbon curled around Laura.
"I hope you get over it, friend." they said in unison, tears running down their cheeks.
Just then, they arrived on the other side of the chasm, and they lightened up.
"Sylvie! We're almost to the skull now! Let's hurry before somebody else gets it!"
Sylvie nodded, and started running ahead.

They went through many hollows and logs, going up and down hills and ducking under trees, but finally, they reached a small cavern carved into the side of a hill. Dried Basculin and berries were hung by strings from the entrance, and a vast variety of relics were scattered around.
"This is my home. Some men dressed in black came here earlier, deposited a skull, then left. I've dug many rooms and decorated my home, but for now.. we'll just take the skull to the museum." said Laura.
"Its nice, Laura! Say, when I have time, I would like to come back here and explore!" replied Sylvie.
Laura nodded.
"Wait for me here. Its best that you stay outside to make sure the black men don't come back and that you can get surprised by my den whenever you can come over... if that made sense." smiled Laura.
Laura pounced, and went right through the Liepard furs draped across the cave door to keep heat in and weather/ Pokemon out.
As Sylvie waited, she foraged for any berries near the cave, sniffing for the scent of anything.
She smelled nothing but the pooled trails of various Pokemon, and... Team Plasma humans?!
"Laura! Hurry up! Team Plasma is coming!" cried Sylvie.
"Great. I've got the skull, try your best to distract Team Plasma while I lug the heavy thing out!" replied Laura's faint voice.
Sylvie nodded.
She saw a Geodude crawling around, looking for rocks to consume, and had a good idea.
"Sorry, Geodude, I just need you for a second." whispered Sylvie.
Clutching one of the rock's arms, she started to swing it around.
"Aah! Flying Geodude coming through!" she cried, and swung the Geodude out.
"Eep." growled the Pokemon as it plunked into the trees.
Dusting off her paws, Sylvie heard some human growls and their loud feet tramping over to where the Geodude landed.
Laura hurried out, bulky skull strapped to her back.
"Okay, go in front of me! Lets get to the museum before Team Plasma catches us!" cried Sylvie.
Laura nodded.
"I certainly don't want this nice skull to be taken away from me. I've grown rather fond of it, although I'll be willing for the museum to take it." said Laura.
"Go!"
Sylvie pushed Laura, and the Leafeon buckled before she regained balance and crashed through the bushes.
A Skunktank lumbered out of nowhere, somehow right in Laura's path.
"Do do da dee dee... DEEAAHHHH!" whistled the Skunktank.
Laura and Sylvie charged right over the Poison-type Pokemon, trampling it and leaving it wondering what happened.

As they barreled through the forest like maniacs, Sylvie tried her best to lift them up as to get them a better way to escape from Team Plasma.
"Y-you can fly with those r-ribbons of yours? I've never seen a Flying-type Eeveelution." stammered Laura.
Sylvie rolled her eyes as they crashed down to the ground after an unsuccessful attempt at flight.
"I'm not a Flying-type, I just figured out a way to fly with my body parts.. did that sound right? Anyways, I'm a Fairy-type." said Sylvie.
Laura snorted.
"Yeah, right. Never heard of that type."
Sylvie rolled her eyes again.
"Its a newly-discovered type. Professor Juniper declared this new type recently. Not a lot of trainers and Pokemon know about it, though." said Sylvie.
"Oh well. Still, could you tell me your story to pass time? This forest is vaster than I knew." sighed Laura.
Sylvie cleared her throat.
"So, as I said before, I am part of the Kanto Region's Eevee Clan. I lived peacefully with Sarah, Ariel, Storm and my father (Could somebody remind me who Sylvie's father was? O.o). We were getting ready for our rituals to become true Eeveelutions when Team Plasma attacked and ruined everything. Both of us fled and found our ways to Kalos, while Storm was captured by a mysterious grey Pokemon. Our seashell necklaces were given to us by Ariel, but she was captured and turned against us, but seemed to give us bad fortune. We made our homes in Kalos, wondering where our family was, and we both evolved... not remembering how we did so. Then, the legendaries Yveltal and Xerneas attacked us (Yveltal me, Xerneas Sarah) and we went to Unova instead... and here we are."
Laura nodded, but just then, a Galvantula came out of nowhere and shot an ElectroWeb at them.
"Wha...Argghh!" cried Laura, caught in the web.
"Laura! No!" screeched Sylvie, but she too got caught by the web.
A large, robed man stepped out, and cackled.
"Ghetsis? You should lose weight, dude." growled Sylvie, wincing at the pain of the electric web.
Ghetsis laughed.
"My dear eeveelutions, I have a device so I can understand Pokemon, to explain things, to avoid any questions! Anyways, I'll flash you my skinny belly." said Ghetsis.
Sylvie and Laura looked away just in time to avoid looking at a hairy belly.
"So... Laura, hand over the skull! Team Plasma needs it to study the dragon!" shouted Ghetsis.
Sylvie snarled.
"Never!" cried Laura and Sylvie in unison.
Ghetsis laughed.
"You are denying the inevitable, eeveelutions. I will pick the skull from the Leafeon's body once my Galvantula finishes you off!" cackled Ghetsis.
Suddenly, a Shadow Ball hit the web, and the two were flung off the trap like cannonballs.
"Leave, Ghetsis!" cried a familiar voice.
"Kennedy!" cried Sylvie.
Kennedy smiled crookedly.
Ghetsis growled, then paused.
"Fine, have it your way." snarled Ghetsis. "Turns out that skeleton is of Dragonite, not Kyurem or Reshiram or Zekrom. I'll leave now. Over and out."
With a wave of his cape, Ghetsis left.
Kennedy smiled.
"Ani is free now. Follow me, Laura and Sylvie, we're moving on to Castelia now." said Kennedy.
Author's Note: Aah, the end of another chapter of the first No Holds Barred book! I'm going to have the next cities go by more quickly if I can do something about it, I find it irritating that this entire book will take almost 40 chapters to finish at this rate. Comment feedback, and be sure to watch out for Chapter 10!

Chapter 8: Stolen

Sylvie and Sarah were snoring in their beds when Lindsey and Zachary woke up, Snivy and the others awakening.
"Hey, the Sylveons are still asleep!" said Zachary. "I wonder what would keep them up all night... Maybe the cries of the Sawk and Throh training in the forest?"
Lindsey grabbed Sylvie, and shook her.
"Wake up! We're challenging Lenora today!" said Lindsey.
"Don't shake me." muttered Sylvie, half-asleep.
"I have some Lavaridge cookies for you..."
Sylvie jolted awake, and started drooling.
"Lavaridge cookies? Where?" she exclaimed, her eyes wide open.
"Here! Have them for waking up!" said Lindsey.
She smiled, and threw Sylvie a cookie.
Sylvie wolfed it down, rubbing crumbs from her cheeks and grinning.
Meanwhile, Zachary vigorously shook Sarah.
"Wake up! I want to see the artifacts in the museum!" cried Zachary.
"I never knew you liked old things." said Lindsey.
Ignoring his traveling companion, Zachary took something out of his backpack, straightened his red cap, and waved a Mago berry.
"I have a tasty Mago berry, Sarah..." said Zachary.
"Zzzzzz." replied Sarah.
"Um... here is some Slow Makeup!" said Zachary, taking out a Poke-Makeup dish and sliding his Mago berry in his bag.
"Makeup? Give me it so I can look pretty!" said Sarah, jolting awake.
Sylvie chuckled as Zachary brushed on makeup on Sarah, making Sarah look more and more petite and stylish.
"Now that we're all awake, we're going to eat breakfast downstairs while you can go to the Nacrene Museum in advance!" said Lindsey cheerfully.
Typhlosion and Ignacio yawned, while Snivy and Oshawott cheered.
"Well, I guess we can see the infamous warehouses and railroad tracks then!" said Sylvie.
"I don't see the point of retro things. They're outdated, rusty, old..." muttered Sarah.
"Hey, Ms. Grouchy, cheer up! We'll have some time to enjoy some peace and quiet, okay?" replied Sylvie, nudging her.
"If you say so." grumbled Sarah, licking her leg to try to straighten her fur.
As the Pokemon went out the door one-by-one, Ignacio shook her head, beard swishing in the draft of the AC.
"I have a bad feeling that something will happen.." muttered Ignacio.

They ventured out into the streets, Ignacio and Typhlosion guarding the crowd of little Pokemon to make sure that no thieves or over-enthusiastic children could harm them.
Several Lillipups sniffed and wandered over to them, but one glare from Ignacio would send them away.
As they approached the museum, Sylvie smiled.
"Thanks, Ignacio and Typhlosion. Next time I approach a Castelia City crowd, I'll ask you two to come along." said Sylvie.
Ignacio winked, her steely cold expression she wore while battling or glaring peeled off like a banana.
"You're welcome, Sylvie. I like seeing Pokemon flee from me... too bad that this Hydreigon you talk about doesn't realize that its a pleasure few get to enjoy." sad Ignacio.
"Say, Ignacio, why were you named a boy's name if you're a girl?" asked Sarah, butting in.
Ignacio's cold steel face was applied on again.
"I do not know, twin of my friend, but do not ask me that... or feel the wrath of my claws." hissed Ignacio, glaring down at the small Sylveon.
"Okay, okay! Sheesh!" cried Sarah, backing away.
"Hello there, it seems as if a Pokemon group is visiting today! That will cost 1000 PokeDollars." said the girl at the door politely.
Typhlosion tossed her a thousand-dollar bill, flashing his pearly white fangs.
"You may enter! Remember, our security is top-notch, we guard our artifacts fiercely!" said the lady as the doors swung open for them.
To prove it, the lady snapped her fingers. Thousands of intricate lasers and security cameras popped up, disguised using Kecleon-esque technology.
"Woah! I would worry more about my skin than the artifacts!" exclaimed Oshawott, thumping his seashell.
"Don't worry. These lasers and security cameras are made to not harm human nor Pokemon alike." said Sylvie.
"Since when were you the nerd?" growled Snivy, her hands crossed.
Sylvie raised her eyebrows, if she had any over her blue eyes.
"Well, grinch, I listen to the tour guides going around Unova when I traveled as a wild Pokemon, thankyouverymuch." replied Sylvie, tossing her ribbons like it wasn't a big deal.
Snivy let out a large haarumph like Clay the Gym Leader, and rolled her eyes.
As they entered, Typhlosion's eyes lit up.
"Hey! Free Poffins!" he exclaimed.
"Can we have some?" exclaimed Shiro, his blue rings flashing.
Typhlosion chuckled.
"No, I'm eating them all!" said Typhlosion.
"Oh, come on! Some of us are hungry!" grumbled Archeops and Shiro in unison.
"Wow, you two are like Siamese Twins!" remarked Ignacio. "Inseparable emotions!"
Sylvie and Sarah glared at her as well as Ignacio herself could.
"Never mind about that. Still, you guys seem to be inseparable!" said Ignacio quickly, fidgeting.
Typhlosion watched their conversation as he indulged himself on Oran Berry Poffins, and sighed.
Reaching into the basket of poffins, he took a Persim Berry Poffin and gave it to Shiro. Shiro ate it like a Gulpin.
"Thanks, dude! Could you pass 'em out, if you were joking? ...At least, I take it that way..." said Shiro between huge bites.
"No worries, I was joking. Who's ready for a Poffin feast?" said Typhlosion, giving Shiro a noogie.
"Hey!" said Archen, clawing Typhlosion.
Ignacio glared at the Pokemon.
"You know, he still could take away your share..." said Ignacio.
She didn't need to say any more.
"Okay, okay! Sorry!" said Archen.
Ignacio smiled.
"That's more like it."

After everyone finished their Poffins, Sylvie took the opportunity to show off what she knew.
"So, this is the skeleton of a Pokemon that flew around the world! It resembles a Dragonite for some reason..." said Sylvie as they approached a giant skeleton propped up on metal tubes.
"Ooh!" said Ignacio and Archen.
Just as they started to admire the majesty of the bones, a black-haired girl ran over to them. For some reason, she had bionic arms.
"Wow! The prehistoric Pokemon Archen! What a pleasure to see it! May I please borrow him so I can take a few...aah, tests?" asked the girl. She gently petted Archen, and he seemed to relax.
"Not if I cannot supervise the tests." said Shiro.
"Oh, okay! The more, the merrier! Say, I would like to have all of you come along so that I can learn more about Pokemon! I'm a new scientist, after all!" replied the girl.
"How... can she understand us?" stuttered Ignacio, in utter amazement.
"Oh, its simple!" gleefully said the girl. "Its all this technology stuff... whatever. I just want to learn more, now!"
"No." said Typhlosion, holding up his paw.
"No?" squeaked the girl, clearly surprised.
Typhlosion put his paw down, and glared at the girl.
"Only two Pokemon may go with you at one time. Its for safety." said Typhlosion.
The girl sighed.
"Fine, if you insist. Come on, Shiro and Archen, we have a lot to do!"
As Shiro and Archen followed the odd girl, Snivy raised an eyebrow.
"I'm no detective, but that seems... suspicious. How does she know Shiro and Archen's names? And why is she a cyborg?" growled Snivy.
"Hey everyone, we're back! Lets go challenge Lenora!" exclaimed two voices.
The Pokemon heard rapid running behind them, then the sensation of disappearing into their balls.
Hmm... thought Sylvie. I hate to admit it, but Snivy is right. Who is the girl, and why IS she a cyborg?

Sylvie looked through the pale, black plastic of her Luxury ball, enjoying the AC inside and other various perks included in the fancy Pokeball.
Just as the bumping on Lindsey's belt was already bad enough, a staircase to the gym came up.
Sylvie groaned as the jolts and jerks of Lindsey's rapid leg movement bounced her around like a Voltorb mistaken for a bouncy ball.
"Stop! Stop! Okay?!" exclaimed Sylvie, pawing at her ball crazily.
Snivy and Ignacio next to her shared her pain, clearly, shown by their disoriented faces and motion of clutching their bellies.
"Oh... my poffin..." groaned Ignacio, looking as if her bile was rising.
"Ugh... I hate this ritual..." moaned Snivy, clutching her belly as if she were about to have a bellyache.
Just as the worst bumping ensued, Lindsey got to the top and decided to sit down.
The balls rotating to make sure their balls weren't sat on, Sylvie saw nothing but a wooden bench.
"Zachary, solve all the puzzles ahead for me. I think all those Village Sandwiches and pancakes are getting to my tummy." moaned Lindsey.
"Aw, come on! Why do I have to do it?" grumbled Zachary, who was clearly face-palming.
A large growl came from outside, which either meant that a stressed Pokemon was nearby or that Zachary's belly was growling.
Clearly, it was the latter.
"Because. I'll get you some food at the restaurant next to the museum once we beat Lenora." said Lindsey.
Smart girl, thought Sylvie.
"Fine. Wait here. I'll send Arc- Wait, where is Archen? He's not in his Pokeball!" cried Zachary. "Ugh!"
Lindsey chuckled.
"I'm sure that Archen is outside playing with the wild Pokemon. Just send Typhlosion back so I can follow you, don't worry. I'm sure Shiro would be a good candidate."
Sylvie sighed as she heard Zachary rummage through his bag.
"I wish that humans understood us, because it hurts for us to know stuff they don't." muttered Sylvie.
When she was a little Pokemon, an Eevee with her sister, mother and father (named Sol, a Glaceon, killed by Team Plasma when they were testing his DNA) worshipping the life and destruction Pokemon, Ariel always reminded her to never, ever wish carelessly or bad things would happen. Sylvie didn't keep it in mind, although that rule was something she still believed in, for some reason.
"Argh!" cried Zachary. "Shiro isn't with me either!"
Lindsey seemed to roll her eyes.
"I'm sure Shiro might be in the Pinwheel Forest exploring somewhere. Relax, just go clear the pathway for me. Make sure that they don't see me sneak into the Gym." said Lindsey.
Zachary sighed.
"Yes, boss." he muttered sarcastically.
Sylvie sighed.
"Okay, everyone! Come on out and stretch your legs! Let's go train in the Pinwheel Forest!" said Lindsey.
A large finger groped down, and pressed the button on Sylvie's Luxury Ball. Immediately Sylvie popped out, bright light and all.
"Wow, the smell of fresh air." said Sylvie. Of course, it just sounded like "Syl-veon!" to Lindsey, but she still communicated a sense of happiness cross-species.
Snivy popped out, as cross as ever, from her Poke Ball.
"Ugh. Dust." grumbled Snivy.
In a last flash of light, Ignacio came out.
"Wow! Look at those meteors in the corner!" remarked Ignacio.
Lindsey smiled.
"Well, you three, I'm thinking of this place where Ignacio can use her Surf move.."
Lindsey didn't get to finish her sentence.
Three figures swooped down, glaring at them, and stood up from their three-legged position.
A girl swooped down in the middle, a black ribbon over her mouth and nose.
In horror, Sylvie realized she looked a lot like the scientist that took Shiro and Archen for testing.
The girl sneered.
"Ha! I have control over the legendaries Keldeo, Terrakion and a Spiritomb, along with your precious Shiro and Archen!" growled the girl.
"Liar! Bastard! Thief!" cried Sarah.
The girl sneered.
"For your information, my name is Ani." said the girl.
"Ani... why is that name so familiar?" wondered Lindsey.
"You took Shiro and Archen!" snarled Sylvie. "I will never forgive you!"
Lunging, Sylvie tried to bite Ani, but Ani slapped Sylvie away, and Sylvie yelped as something hit her.
"No! Sylvie! You're paralyzed!" said Lindsey.
"Hmph. My bionic limbs let off a field of static, paralyzing the Sylveon. Sadly, we are not after the rare Pokemon. We are after this... specimen." smirked Ani.
"Wait!"
"Ciao, Lindsey and Zachary."
The three ninja-like men around her held up nozzles, and smoke sprayed out.
"Argh! The cliched smoke trick!" snarled Ignacio.
Sylvie heard the bulky Samurott run towards the spot where the thieves were, then heard her curse.
"Ugh...koff...Shiro...coff.." coughed Sylvie, running through the smoke.
It was too late.
The skull of the mighty skeleton was gone, and the guards were running around in a panic.
Just as the smoke cleared, Typhlosion ran back with a Basic Badge in his mouth.
"Look! Look! Zachary got a Basic Badge! He says that Lindsey can challenge the Nacrene Gym now!" said Typhlosion, but he was cut off by the sight of the missing skull.
"Hey. Did something happen?" he asked Ignacio.
Ignacio quickly explained everything as quickly as she could.
"This is NOT a good sign. It seems as if we should pursue them. I'm going to get Zachary." said Typhlosion.
Sylvie clenched her paws.
"I won't let Ani get away with this! She seems to be connected with Team Plasma somehow..." growled Sylvie.
Sarah put a paw on Sylvie's shaking shoulder.
"Calm down, sis, we'll get Shiro and Archen back. Heck, we don't even have proof that they have been captured to be 'on term' with Team Plasma!" soothed Sarah, stroking Sylvie.
Suddenly, a cold sensation came over Sylvie as she heard some cackling.
"Well, now you have proof." said a voice. "I am Dark Shiro, with Dark Keldeo, Dark Archen, Dark Kennedy and Dark Terrakion, and we are the Shadow Elite."
Author's Note: Ooh, the cliffhanger! How drastically hated by all! Sorry about the cliffhanger, its late right now. Okay, I hope you liked yet ANOTHER long chapter, so please enjoy the ongoing story!

Chapter 7: Party Crashers

Climbing on Hydreigon's back, they were instantly ran across velvet hallways, screaming like they were on a scary plane... not that the Dragon-Type was.
"Eek! Slow down!" cried Sarah. "You're smearing my Pokemon Makeup with all this wind!"
"And fast is what I do!" squealed Hydreigon.
"And slow is what I want you to do!" replied Sarah.
Sylvie chuckled, as she wasn't as fussy as Sarah about beauty despite being her twin.
Just as the wind was about to get so strong it would be as powerful as a Pokemon attack to them, Hydreigon got out the door and lifted off, napkins and silver plates spilled behind him and the maids raising their eyebrows.
"Hydreigon is as much a natural disaster as Yveltal himself." muttered Sylvie.
Hydreigon's eyes widened.
"You have met the legendary Yveltal? This is a party held in both Xerneas's and Yveltal's honor to prevent them from fighting! Rumor has it that there is a third that dictates the balance... of course, its just a rumor." replied Hydreigon.
Sarah and Sylvie exchanged worried glances.
"Say... you never told me why you two wear seashell necklaces. Your trainers don't seem to notice, but why do they seem familiar..."
Sylvie and Sarah exchanged more worried glances.
"Its... uh... a secret." stammered Sylvie, clearly caught off guard.
Hydreigon raised an eyebrow.
"I'm sorry if I am pressing too hard, I want to be a good friend despite being scary, but I feel like this is important."
Sarah and Sylvie sighed.
"Fine. We'll tell you." they said in unison. "Look, our mother, Ariel the Vaporeon, gave us these two necklaces when we were children. Among our family, the Eevee Clan, these necklaces were passed down for generations because they were rumored to summon either life or destruction. However, Team Plasma attacked our home, and captured some of us so we could serve a 'term' helping them steal and free Pokemon, then be free again. Among the captured was our mother, Ariel was one."
Hydreigon shed a small tear, which fell through the atmosphere.
"Wow... I had no idea you guys had such a sad story. Any way I can help?" said Hydreigon.
Sylvie and Sarah nodded.
"Yes, but we would rather not speak of them." they replied.
Hydreigon nodded.
"To cheer you guys up, in fact, I'll tell a joke! Why did the Chatot cross the road?"
"Um.. to cross the road?" said Sarah.
Sylvie elbowed her.
"Lame." said Sylvie, in a playful tone.
"No! To get the Oran berry! Hee hee heh!"
Sylvie and Sarah exchanged glances, then politely laughed.
"Okay! We're almost there, hang tight!"
"Wuh-woah!" they said together, as Hydreigon did a nose-dive.
Clinging on to his fur, their teeth clattered in their mouth as the roller-coaster that was Hydreigon descended.
"Hmm.. I smell smoke. Is a Darumaka or another Fire-Type attending?" asked Sylvie, sniffing the air. It smelled smoky, as if a Basculin was being smoked over a fire.
"Yes, but none of them make any smoke that smells like this. I'd better investigate." said Hydreigon, his happy-go-lucky voice now stern.
As they got down to the ground, though, they saw that something else was happening.
Three Emboar were attacking the town full of Pokemon, with only a few Pokemon defending the town. Flames rose from many suburban houses, and the two-story skyscrapers in the center guarding the mayor's house were almost completely aflame.
"We need to help! Sarah, lets Moonblast those pigs and teach them a lesson!" cried Sylvie.
Sarah nodded.
"I'll be rescuing Pokemon from the flames. Be careful, though, ancient legends say that if a disaster happens on the Life and Destruction day, then surely a big fight must be happening between both Xerneas and Yveltal, along with Reshiram and Zekrom." said Hydreigon.
Waving a head, Hydreigon flew into the flames like a rocket, using something that was like Brave Bird to get as little burns as possible from the heat.
"Okay! Sarah, target the leader! I'll target his goons!" said Sylvie.
"Sounds good to me. Be careful, Sylvie!" replied Sarah. "You wouldn't want your makeup to get smeared!"
"I don't even wear makeup." growled Sylvie, mood changed.
"What-ever. Look, just watch your back, okay?"
Sarah leapt towards the plumpest Emboar, who was blowing flames onto an ambulance, and started whacking it.
"Hey! Stop! Freeze or face the wrath of the Emboar gang!" cried the leader.
Apparently, the Emboars weren't very sharp, which Sylvie knew she could exploit. Sylvie smiled at the things she knew she could do with this weakness.
"You're Fire-Types, so how can I be frozen?" taunted Sylvie, dodging an Ember thrown at her.
The Emboar's focus changed, his gaze going away from Sarah. Sarah dove into the bushes, for one reason or the other.
"Eh? Well, I guess you can't freeze... whatever. Stand still or face our powerful Flamethrowers!" roared the Emboar.
"I can't stand still, I have ADHD!"
"What's ADHD? You're an HD Television?"
"Stupid you, ADHD makes me not be able to stand still. Do you have it?"
"I... don't know..."
BOOM!
"HA! Gotcha!" cried Sarah, coming out from the shrubbery.
Sarah had summoned a Trump Card, which hit Emboar hard. The lead Emboar crashed into a large tree, and snorted.
"Two pink Pokemon. What a goofy color. Eddie and Emmy, attack them!"
"Yes, Emboar!" said the Emboars at his side, bowing, if their fat would allow them to.
"Sarah, on my mark, use Fire Spin in unison!" said Sylvie.
"Fine. I'll cross my ribbons that it doesn't roast me and make me look like a Lavaridge Cookie." replied Sarah, but she still nodded and readied a Fire Spin.
Emmy and Eddie attempted Take Down on them, leaping up in a pose as if they were going to squish the Sylveons like pancakes, but Sylvie and Sarah unleashed their Fire Spins at the last possible picosecond.
"Ugh!" growled the Emboars. They were blasted back despite the move being not very effective, and bowled over their leader like bowling balls.
"Good! Let me finish this!" cried a voice.
"Who said that?" snapped Sylvie. She wasn't going to trust just anyone, which was how Sylvie rolled, of course.
A Shadow Ball came out of nowhere, and exploded on contact with the lead Emboar, knocking out the leader.
"I am Kennedy the Spiritomb, of course!" said the voice. "I have things under control, Sylvie and Sarah!"
"Gotta run! That Spiritomb is creepy!" cried Eddie and Emmy.
"Get back here, cowards!" cried Emboar, but his accomplices were already gone.
Suddenly, dawn started to break, and the warm rays of the sun extended over the great mountains.
"Great Arceus, we should be getting back before Lindsey and Zachary wake up!" exclaimed Sarah.
Quickly straightening her fur, Sarah trotted off to find Hydreigon for a flight home, and Sylvie had no choice but to follow, prancing like a Sawbuck behind Sarah.
As they disappeared into the flaming town, Kennedy was starry-eyed.
"Great Arceus... I see potential in them, yet them seem to ignore it... sighed Kennedy the Spiritomb. "For the good of Unova, I hope they realize it..."
Suddenly, a voice behind her chuckled.
"Heh heh... this will be good for master.." growled the dark voice.
"Keldeo?"
A blue colt stepped out of the darkness.
"I am Dark Keldeo, fool." growled Keldeo. "I am your downfall!"
Keldeo was dark purple, with his horn gnarled like a spiral straw, pretty much resembling Dark Lugia.
"Keldeo, what happe-" Kennedy was cut off by Keldeo's swift Aqua Jet, which knocked out Spiritomb.
"A K.O.! You are worthy of the Team Plasma name, Keldeo." said a voice. "Both Dark Balls, capture!"

They found Hydreigon working to get Serperior out from underneath a fallen tree, whistling as he untied Serperior from the tangle of vines. For some reason, though, his work was sped up by some odd force.
"Wow, you'd think he was a Speed Deoxys if you had 20/20 hindsight!" remarked Sylvie. "That speed is unrivaled by any other!"
"Hey, Hydreigon, when you're done freeing Serperior, could you fly us back home?" said Sarah, unfazed by the flaming branches around them.
"Uh... sure!" stammered Hydreigon, scratching his head as he worked. Hydreigon was burned, with scratches and cuts all over himself, but other than that he was fine.
Serperior squirmed, but Hydreigon put one of his mouths down.
"Don't do that, your spine is broken. I'll get Azurill to Heal Pulse you." said Hydreigon.
Serperior nodded, and straightened, trying to smile.
Just as Hydreigon was lifting the tree off Serperior, Hiku the Snorlax and Lillias rushed over, Lillias flying on the breeze and giant Hiku running among the buildings.
"Have you seen Kennedy?" said Hiku in a panic.
"Yes, but that was a moment ago when she blasted the Emboar gang with Shadow Ball and dispersed them." said Sylvie. Sarah nodded to back her up.
"I see. You see, though, we saw her too, but now our cell phone signals aren't coming through. That's odd, since Kennedy always answers her Iphone 5!" said Hiku.
"My fears are that she has been captured by the nefarious Team Plasma, along with the Emboar leader. A goon was spotted in the flames, a dark Terrakion and Keldeo by his side. Cobalion told us that they were captured in conventional balls, but if Team Plasma has found the machinery from long ago that can shut off the heart of a Pokemon... nobody is safe." said Lillias, floating on her flower.
Serperior slithered out, wincing at the pain of her cracked spine. Hydreigon reached for her, but she slapped his hand away.
"I don't mind Kennedy disappearing, but if it means that Team Plasma can poison the heart of a Pokemon... I think the prophecy foretold of this." said Serperior.
Hydreigon nodded, seemingly a tad hurt by the slap Serperior gave him. Sylvie couldn't blame him, that slap looked severe.
"Still, Sylvie and Sarah need to return to their trainers. We cannot risk humans discovering our town if they manage to find Sylvie and Sarah. I'll take them." said Hydreigon. Hiku, Lillias and Serperior nodded.
"Two disasters on the Life and Destruction day (Balance day, in short)... This means that both Reshiram and Zekrom and Xerneas and Yveltal are fighting... Sylvie and Sarah, I think you may have to go through Unova, then go through Kalos. If you survive that long, that is..."
Sarah and Sylvie gulped, but then an odd sensation swept them off their feet.
"Ugh.. so sleepy.." muttered Sarah, and started spinning in circles.
The excitement throughout the night had kept them up, and they had not realized how sleepy they were.
"Well, Hydreigon, get them back home quickly. Some local Tympole and Basculin have promised to help us put out the fires, and everyone is safe in the woods." said Hiku, smiling.
"No problem, Hiku!" said Hydreigon, looking weary but now full of energy.
Sylvie slid on his back, and fell into a state of semi-consciousness as she pondered what this meant for her future.
Author's Note: This is the seventh chapter of No Holds Barred! Not much to say, except that who the goon is and other things will be revealed by Chapter 10!

Prologue

Cobalion raced across the wide fields, darting over Unova like a rocket. Virizion and Terrakion followed him, along with a small, blue colt.
Panting, they saw the woods, and darted in.
"Come back here! Help us free all Pokemon!" called a voice from behind them.
"Virizion, use Grass Knot and get rid of our pursuer. Terrakion, put a boulder behind us. Keldeo... use your water-jets to scout for any aerial pursuers and make sure nobody else attacks us. I'll go to our grotto and hide." growled Cobalion.
His three allies nodded, and started to do their jobs.
Virizion ran back, and cried out.
"Yes! Now, come into my Ultra Ball... come on..." snarled the voice.
Virizion pretended to limp, and got close to the grey-robed girl.
"Lemme heal you with my Hyper Potion... get closer.."
Suddenly, Virizion stopped limping, and unleashed a powerful blast of grass, knotting it around his legs and trapping him, squirming in the tall grass.
Hmph. Humans cease to please me. Don't ever, ever try to capture a legendary. said Virizion, using human-speak instead of her usual Pokemon chatter.
Bounding away swiftly, Virizion signaled to Terrakion to push the boulder in place.
"Grr...." growled Terrakion, nodding.
He charged up to a nearby boulder, and started to push quickly.
Push... push... push... there. A boulder blocked the girl's path, and she lay there, squirming, like a worm that couldn't get back in its hole.
Keldeo stopped his patrol, and leapt over the boulder, chewing off the grass knot.
"Don't you dare follow us again, bad girl--Aah!"
"Keldeo, no!" screamed the Musketeer Trio, but it was too late.
A Net Ball plopped down on the grass, a click sound played, and the girl sneered.
"Too late, musketeers, I've got Keldeo and now we can capture the legendary Zekrom with it!"
"No! Let-go-of-Keldeo!" cried Terrakion, running forward.
"Terrakion, don't do it! We must free Keldeo later!" cried Cobalion.
Again, too late.
"Hmph. Our Lord will be happy with two of the four Musketeers."
As swift as a Speed Deoxys, the girl threw a Timer Ball, and hit Terrakion.
"Nooo!" screeched Terrakion, and scrabbled at the grass as he shrunk into the ball.
Yet another painful click, and the girl cackled.
"Goodbye... for now..."
Taking off his grey robes, she revealed a robotic body and disappeared just as it was exposed.
"No..I can't believe it..." sighed Cobalion, padding away.
Virizion tried to soothe him.
"Cody, its okay. The Sylveons of the prophecy will heal this, even if they can summon the Life and Destruction Pokemon." replied Virizion.
The two sad legendaries faded into the forest.

Chapter 6: Fennel's Request

Sylvie sat on a velvet cushion, relaxing after all that stress from the attack from Team Plasma. Sarah was on the same cushion, gobbling down a fat poffin and eating Mago berries.
Iced tea had been poured for them, in their own fancy china bowl.
Above them, Zachary, Lindsey, Amanita and Prof. Fennel chatted.
"So, lemme get this straight. The Dream World is a mysterious world formed by Pokemon's dreams, and we can breach its borders using your Dream machine? Pinch me, I must be dreaming." said Zachary.
Fennel smiled, and in the blink of an eye pinched Zachary.
"Oww.... so I'm not dreaming. Wow. Unova's technology is getting really advanced!" remarked Zachary.
Amanita, the smart schoolgirl, spoke up.
"Why, I'll tell you about my special PC Box!" squeaked the tiny girl.
"Your box? So that is who the 'Someone' was!" said Zachary. "I knew it!"
Amanita smiled. "Yes, that is my very own creation! It can store up to about 756 Pokemon inside, roaming around a virtual environment and living peacefully!"
Lindsey nodded.
"Sounds cool! Thanks for pampering our Sylveons, by the way!" said Lindsey.
Fennel nodded, smiling.
"No problem! Trainers around the world know me very well due to my fame, and I get paid by the Unova Scientist's Association about 2 Million Pokedollars each year, enough to buy everything and anything in Unova!" replied Fennel.
Groping for Sarah right next to Sylvie, Zachary said: "Well, shall I test out this Dream Machine with my own Pokemon?"
"No!" yelped Fennel.
Zachary raised an eyebrow, and Sylvie couldn't help but do the same.
"Why? Theres no harm in doing it-"
"Sorry for my outburst, its just that its not safe. Unidentified species of Pokemon do not have a place in the Dream World, as it takes time for the Dream World to recognize the Pokemon, and if we try to enter that sort of Pokemon in that world... its just too risky and unsafe."
Zachary and Lindsey nodded vigorously.
"Thank you, Ms. Fennel, but we have to get going now. It was a pleasure meeting you!" chimed Zachary and Lindsey in unison.
"Sarah, get ready for the moment of coming into the Pokeball..." muttered Sylvie.
To their surprise, they were left to follow their trainers!
"Sarah, Sylvie, time to go!" said their trainers.
They seemed to like each other a lot, and to demonstrate it even held hands as they trotted down the staircase, Fennel waving after them.
"Do you think they could be a nice cou-" asked Sylvie, but she was cut off by Sarah.
"Shhh! They won't, notice that Lindsey seems to tease Zachary a lot?" said Sarah.
Sylvie rolled her eyes.
"Couples always go through that stage first. Just you see."
Leaping off the stairs, they landed on the shoulders of their trainers, surprising them. The hats on their trainers flew off, and they ran to retrieve them.
"I always laugh when they do this," remarked Sarah as they slid harmlessly off their trainer's shirts.
After Zachary and Lindsey caught their runaway hats and chuckled, they set off to the western garden in Striaton City to look at leaping Goldeen and Basculin, then to set off for Nacrene City.
"I'm bored. Tonight, want to go back to the Pokemon Town?" muttered Sylvie.
"Sure, I'm sure that by tonight we'll be in Nacrene City and sleeping in the Warehouse Suites." replied Sarah.
Glancing at each other excitedly, they rushed off to help their trainers battle.

That night, as Lindsey and Zachary settled down in their beds, Sarah and Sylvie pretended to sleep in their fluffy little beds until their trainers snored.
Just when Zachary started to snore, Sylvie opened one eye.
"Let's go. Oh, and don't forget, please do NOT act sassy and flirt with the others. That will ruin my experience." growled Sylvie.
Sarah nodded, although Sylvie could tell she wouldn't keep that promise.
"Oh well. Lets just go to the Pokemon Playroom and see if Hyredigon is there." sighed Sylvie.
As they padded down the rusty steps, everyone single creak of a door or squeak of a Rattata sounded like a Pokeball coming towards them or the roar of a mighty Onix, which made the nightime trip scarier.
Just as they were about to turn tail and flee, they arrived at the special Pokemons' room... when Hydreigon pounced outta nowhere and gleefully smiled.
"Hey buddies! Yay yay yay yay! Its the two pink thingies again!" exclaimed Hydreigon.
"Hydreigon, woah! That was a little scary! Please warn us next time! Still, that warm welcome was appreciated!" exclaimed Sylvie.
"Here, climb on my back. I'll carry you to the town, they're having a party there!" said Hydreigon.

Author's Note: Yeah, such a short chapter after a long time, yadda yadda. I just have a little writer's block on this blog, and my other, much more popular blog is taking a LOT of my time to manage. So, hang tight, this story will pick up soon with the release of the prologue and Chapter 7!

Chapter Five: Slumber?

Sylvie awoke to be a floating spirit, floating high above the Dreamyard.
"Wha...?" she said, but was greeted by silence.
Floating down, she saw herself as an ice statue on a podium, a round glass cylinder around her and green liquid around the statue like jelly. The same was done to Sarah.
"I have a bad feeling about this.. I think I'm being held hostage..."
To confirm this, Lindsey and Zachary ran up, eyes wide.
"Sylvie! No!" cried Lindsey.
The grunt came down with a THUD, and cackled coldly.
"You are too late! Your precious Pokemon is ours! Now, as the Sylveons are trapped in a frozen coma, their hearts are being poisoned so they will obey only Team Plasma! We also have Munna under our command, ready to hypnotize opponents! You cannot stop us!"
Zachary, being the idiot he was, charged towards Sylvie and Sarah, but was held by a Psychic and tossed into a cracked wall.
"Ugh!" he cried.
The grunt held up a Pokeball, and threw out her Glalie.
Sylvie pawed at Lindsey as she saw dainty tears in her master's eyes, but alas, Sylvie was just a spirit back then.
"Great. How can I phase out of my helpless state?" sighed Sylvie.
Just then, a bright light flashed, and a pink Munna tumbled to the ground, squealing.
"Curse of evil, bringer of bad luck, lift on this innocent Munna and bring her back!" shouted a voice.
Pink light flowed around the Munna, and a dark aura lifted from it.
"What?" growled the grunt. "I hate wrenches in our plans! Goodbye for now, but don't think I won't be out for revenge..."
The grunt vanished into the darkness of the ruins, and the ice melted off the Sylveons.
"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too easy. There must be a catch." grumbled Lindsey.
Just as Sylvie's soul started to rejoin with her body (Wow, I think Lindsey is wrong, thought Sylvie, but I hate being separate from my body) a long-haired woman ran in the ruins.
"Children! Flee! The complex will blow up in a minute, the nefarious Team Plasma left a grenade here!" cried the woman.
"One minute? Lemme get Sylvie and Sarah!" said Zachary, lunging towards the nearly-awake Sylveons.
"No! There is no time!" sighed the woman.
"But they are our partners!" exclaimed Zachary. "We can't leave them to blow up!"
"They will find a way out, I promise. Just run!" warned the woman.
With that, Zachary and Lindsey reluctantly followed the long-haired woman out, and Sylvie sighed.
"Great. Sarah, follow me. We shall follow them, despite the danger in doing that."
The walls rumbled as chunks of the walls started to cave in, and mushroom clouds rose above the trees.
"We would better do this quickly! There is little time left!" replied Sarah.
Nimbly, the two Sylveons manipulated their ribbons and floated above the Dreamyard quickly, escaping by a whisker.
Watching the moon, the Sylveons ignored the explosion of the factory below them.
Author's Note: Sorry for such a short chapter, its kinda late and besides, you need a break after that long, long Chapter 4! And yes, this is a disappointing end to their capture, but I don't have much time to work with and they need to proceed soon.

Chapter 4: Challenging Striaton

Sylvie let Lindsey bathe her and feed her Persim berries, then be brought back into her Luxury Ball.
"Snivy, what is wrong with you? I mean, aren't you nice to ANYONE?" asked Sylvie.
Snivy glared at her.
"Look, put your nose somewhere else. I don't like pink pokemon." growled the Snivy.
"You don't like any Pokemon, I take it." muttered Sylvie.
As Lindsey and Zachary walked along Route 2, Sylvie saw a few wild Pokemon (such as a Purrloin, several Pidove, a few Dunsparce, and a Tangrowth), but no wild Samurott... until the odd Pokemon attacked them.
Sylvie was eating a Cheri macaron when a roar came from outside her ball.
Dipping a paw in her macaron, she saw a large Pokemon leer... right at her.
Lindsey clutched Sylvie's Pokeball, and sent her out.
"Sylvie! Show that Typhlosion we're the best!"
Sylvie was sent out, and immediately the large muscles intimidated her.
"Why, hello." said the Typhlosion, his voice laced with infatuation.
Sylvie raised an eyebrow, but just then Zachary sent out Sarah.
"Do it, Sarah! Show Lindsey we triumph no matter what!"
Sarah weakly smiled at her.
"Its every Sylveon for itself this time." she said.
Leaping up, Sarah used Fire Spin on the Typhlosion.
Typhlosion growled, and used Strength on Sarah, punching her repeatedly and blasting Sarah into the woods.
Sylvie pounced, slashing deep into the thick fur of Typhlosion, and a great roar came from the Johto Pokemon.
Using a point-blank range Moonblast, the Typhlosion fell down, a bear's cry emanating from its mouth.
Before Lindsey could throw a Pokeball, though, Zachary quickly tossed his own Pokeball and caught Typhlosion.
One shake... two shakes.. three shakes... and then stars burst from the Pokeball.
Zachary slid out Sarah's Pokeball, grinning, and said "Sarah, return! Great job helping me get this awesome partner!"
A red light came out from the ball, and Sarah returned to her ball.
Sylvie stretched, and pointed her paw towards the ledge.
Lindsey smiled weakly, despite losing a bet against Zachary.
"Look! Its just small enough for me to get up on!" said Lindsey. Sprinting towards the ledge, she leapt on a small kink in the steep slope and vaulted over the sharp edge.
Sylvie followed, fanning out her ribbons to hover over the edge, then leapt.
Zachary threw his Pokeball, and Typhlosion came out, wounds still there.
"Thanks for the wounds, Sylveon." growled Typhlosion, glaring at Sylveon.
"My name is Sylvie, smartie, and I was told to do so by Lindsey, hello!" huffed Sylvie.
"Typhlosion! Use strength on the slope and make it more gradual!" commanded Zachary.
Typhlosion didn't budge, and just walked over to a berry bush, plucking an Oran berry and eating it.
"Aw, come on! I'll give you a Sitrus berry, or a poffin, or a macaron, even!" whimpered Zachary.
Lindsey rolled her eyes.
"The wimp." she said.
Typhlosion glared at Zachary, dressed in a blue jacket.
Tossing her ponytail over her shoulder, Lindsey looked at Zachary's desperate face with amusement.
Typhlosion glared at his trainer, growling.
"Make that an 'and', mister." said the Typhlosion.
Zachary sighed and let Lindsey lift him up the ledges.
As he went up, Sylvie saw him quietly take Typhlosion back to his Pokeball.
Lindsey saw his sad face, and patted his back sympathetically.
"Don't expect your Pokemon to like you at first, it probably won't." said Lindsey.
Zachary didn't seem to hear her, but nodded.

As they walked through Striation City, the large buildings towered up like the large Wailord.
The scent of fresh tea came from a restaurant, and provoked by a long trudge up Route 2, they settled down on a table.
Sylvie pawed at her Pokeball, seeing a blue-haired waiter give some nearby Drilbur some poffins.
Lindsey felt the ticklish sensation, and threw all of her balls.
"Come on out, guys! Enjoy the food!"
Sylvie bounced out, along with Snivy. They glared at each other, then sighed and parted separate ways.
Sylvie saw Sarah, Typhlosion and Oshawott enjoying a buffet, and hurried over.
Suddenly, a shiny Umbreon and a fully grown Samurott attacked them... diving into the Kelpsey berries.
A green-haired boy smiled at them.
"Well, well! Wild Pokemon! A starter and a shiny Johto Pokemon! Rare to find in this part of Unova!" chuckled the boy.
His eyes widened when he saw Typhlosion and the two Sylveons.
"Two unregistered Pokemon and a Typhlosion! My eyes must be deceiving me! Here, have some Rawst Macarons anyway."
Three plump macarons fell down from the counter, and they ate the tasty treats quickly.
Find the wrongly named  Samurott.
Sylvie saw the Samurott glaring at the boy, seeming thankful yet unhappy.
As she realized that Samurott may be the key to finding out what the heck was going on, Sylvie finished her macaron quickly and pounced on the Samurott.
"Hey!" cried the Samurott.
"What's you name and gender?" cried Sylvie. A few diners looked at them when they heard Sylvie's cries, but chuckled and continued their meal, thinking they were going to roughhouse.
"What's it to you?" snarled the Samurott bitterly, as if it hated name questions.
Sylvie started forming a Moonblast, and Samurott opened its eyes wide.
"Okay, okay! I'll talk! My gender is female, and my name is Ignacio! There!"
Glaring at Sylvie, Sylvie's paw shut off the Moonblast. Sylvie wondered how that happened for a moment, then remembered her mother telling her about the powerful glare of the Samurott.
"Well, then, what information do you have on two legendaries clashing?" cried Sylvie in excitement. The hotness of the shiny Umbreon distracted her, but she still concentrated.
"Nosy to the last, aren't you. I know about Tornadus and Thundurus and Landorous clashing, Lugia and Ho-Oh clashing, Dialga, Palkia and Giratina clashing, Rayquanza, Groudon and Kyogre clashing, Mewtwo and Mew clashing... but the biggest clash of them all, Reshiram and Zekrom clashing."
Sylvie was silent, until she realized something.
"Reshiram and Zekrom? More about them later, please?"
Ignacio chuckled.
"Sure, I've taken quite a liking to you. Lemme get my buddy Shiro."
Before Ignacio could move, though, the shiny Umbreon appeared.
"Hey! Ignacio, bro! I've met two nice trainers I want to be with!" said the Umbreon.
"Shiro, I'm  a girl." sighed Ignacio, as if she were used to this.
Lindsey and Zachary ran over.
"Hey! I want that Umbreon!" said Zachary.
"No! I want that Umbreon!" countered Lindsey.
Glaring at each other like rival Samurotts, they sighed and did Rock-Paper-Scissors to decide.
Lindsey got rock and Zachary paper.
"See ya!" said Shiro excitedly as the Umbreon disappeared into a Pokeball.
"The weirdo." said Sylvie and Ignacio in sync.
Sensing a strong friendship coming on, they did a
BFF FIST!

Ignacio disappeared into the ball after a few tries, and Lindsey smiled.
"Time to challenge the Striaton gym!"
When she said that, a fire-headed boy came over to them.
"Yes, ma'am! One thrilling Gym Battle coming right on up!"
The back of the bistro folded up, and a large, standard-issue dirt battlefield was exposed.
All three vividly-colored-hair boys lined up on one side, and Lindsey and Zachary ran to the other.
Sylvie and the other Pokemon followed them.
"Oh! So the girl has a Samurott, an unknown Pokemon and a Snivy! No matter, my Pansear will bowl over 'em all!" shouted the red-haired boy.
"My name is Chili, bytheway."
"And the boy has an Oshawott, a Typhlosion, and another unregistered Pokemon. I will b-be pleased to bat-tle y-you." stuttered the green-haired boy.
"M-my name is C-Cilan."
The blue-haired boy smiled.
"And that leaves me to referee, as the allmighty Cress! Begin, challengers!"
Lindsey smiled.
"This will be easy! Ignacio, please help me!"
Zachary raised an eyebrow.
"Oh yeah? Typhlosion will barrel over that little Pansage in no time!"
Ignacio came out, glaring down at the hot-headed Pansear. The monkey laughed nervously.
"Bring it on, wolf-boy!" cried the monkey, grinning sheepishly.
"I'm a girl, doofus. And I am NOT a wolf." growled Ignacio.
Sylvie watched them battle fiercely through her ball, wishing she could join in.
Ignacio used Hydro Cannon, but Pansear nimbly dodged and countered with Solarbeam. Ignacio deflected with a leg-plate, and it blasted Pansear hard into the wall.
Meanwhile, Typhlosion used Toxic, spitting muck into the face of Pansage. Pansage ran around, crying out in pain as the acid ate at its body. However, Pansage had another trick up its sleeve... Leech Seed. Three seeds landed in Typhlosion's fur, sucking the life out of the large Pokemon.
"If I were allowed to come out, I would defeat those monkeys in no time. Sigh." growled Sylvie, squirming inside her ball.
Suddenly, Pansear came out of its dent, and used Flamethrower. Ignacio managed to dodge some of it, but flames ripped at her fur fiercely, like a savage Hydreigon. Thinking of Hydreigons, Sylvie remembered Hydreigon. Poor guy, being so scary he didn't have a lot of friends.
Pansage battered Typhlosion with Leaf Blade, but the porcupine used Wild Charge, cloaked with strong voltage and tackling Pansage with gusto.
The monkey fell, and Cress raised a green flag.
"Pansage is out for the count! Zachary wins!"
While Zachary over-enthusiastically petted Typhlosion, Ignacio fought Pansear fiercely, biting and slashing quickly while dodging attacks.
"Go, Ignacio, go! You can do it! Use Waterfall on Pansear and finish this battle!" cried Lindsey.
Ignacio, seeing her new trainer, huffed in embarrassment and cloaked herself in a veil of water.
"Fine. I do not like being under the command of a human, but I shall do so, if I need to."
Charging up quickly, Pansear's eyes widened wide as Ignacio knocked over the monkey.
When the dust settled, Pansear was lying face-down, blood trickling from a few wounds.
"No! Pansear!" cried Chili.
Running over, he applied some potions and got Pansear off the battlefield.
"Pansear has fainted! Lindsey wins!"
Sylvie saw Lindsey smile, and smiled herself.

As the sun set over the horizon, Cilan and Chili handed Zachary and Lindsey two multicolored badges.
"Here. Have them. Your strength is unmatched, I sense great things from you!" said Cress.
"Ye-ow! The blazing sensation of your mighty tactics pumps me up! Right Pansear?" screeched Chili, running in circles.
"Yep!" replied Pansear, tackling his trainer affectionately.
"D-Don't mind my b-brother, he always is like t-this. Always on a s-sugar rush." stuttered Cilan, blushing.
Zachary's eyes twinkled as he immersed himself in the splendor of the Trio Badge.
"I got the Trio Badge!" he shouted. Taking out his badge case, Zachary slid the Trio badge into his case with a satisfying CLICK. Lindsey did the same, but polishing the badge with her shirt first.
Sylvie rolled over happily on the pavement as she saw her trainer happy, and rubbed herself against Lindsey's leg.
Cress noticed Sylvie, and glanced at Lindsey.
"Say, that Pokemon you have by your side looks quite rare! I think you may have mistaken this Pokemon for a shiny Leafeon, though, her fur has no sparkles on it!" said Cress.
"I recommend taking her to Prof. Juniper for an examination." chimed Cilan, without a single glitch.
"RIGHT! That hue of pink is zesty, I say!" exclaimed Chili. Cress and Cilan laughed.
Lindsey smiled, and so did her friend Zachary.
Suddenly, a figure swooped in, taking Sylvie and Sarah with it. As soon as it came, it left swiftly.
"Hey!" Sylvie heard Lindsey cry.
"Help!" cried Sylvie. The figure looked down at her.
"Shhh! Our Lord won't want us to get caught!" growled the thief.
Looking up, Sylvie saw a dark-haired girl wearing thick glasses and a black scarf over her mouth. She seemed like one of those odd knight-grunt thingies that escorted the big man off the grass square back in Accumula Town, which made Sylvie wonder what was really going on.
Too late, Sylvie noticed the grunt had robotic limbs and a hi-tech visor.
A black, metal hand reached up, and sprayed a strong gas into both Sarah's and Sylvie's face, making them feel sick.
The gas enveloped her, slowly shutting down her organs for temporary "death", or a coma. Sylvie felt a sensation of grief over her, as she was tossed into a glass and steel tube and tubes hooked up to her.
"Glalie! Use Ice Beam and freeze that Sylveon solid!"
A large, iced black Pokemon wafted up, a blue light forming around it.
"Wait! Isn't that too extreme?" cried Sylvie weakly.
BAM!
In the large tube next to her, Sarah was already an ice cube, nothing more than a temporarily "dead" body that was frozen. Sylvie's brain started to get very groggy, making it nigh-impossible to think.
The last thing she saw was a Musharna near her, dark energy emanating from it.
Then, ice and grogginess came over her, and Sylvie was no more than an ice statue.
Author's Note: Wow, long chapter! Anyways, what do YOU think will happen when the two Sylveons are probably going to be held for ransom? Comment!

Chapter 3: Preparing for Striaton

When Lindsey was sleeping in the Lilligant Hotel in Accumula Town, she let Sylvie and Snivy out. Zachary let out his Oshawott, Sarah and Archen (he had that Pokemon as his 8th Birthday gift) so they could also play in the Pokemon playroom downstairs from their room.
While Sylvie got to know the others, Snivy sulked in a corner, playing chess with a Golduck and eating Leppa berries. Sarah attempted to get Snivy to spar with them, but Snivy wouldn't budge from her dark corner.
"Whee!" cried a Hydreigon, flying in the air tunnel above them.
Sarah and Sylvie looked up, wondering who the heck would sound so cheerful.
"Hello, rare Pokemon! My name is Hydreigon! What is your name?"
Before Sarah and Sylvie could even open their mouths, Hydreigon hooted with laughter and resumed talk.
"Oh, you are quiet ones! Well, I love to talk! Do you love to talk? Well, I guess you don't! Too bad you can't fly, because this tunnel is reaaaaaaaaaaallly rad! Hoo hoo! I mean, the currents are SOOO hi-tech, and they give me a good workout! Say, you two seem a little on the skinny side, want to eat broiled Pikachu with me? Oh, I forgot, timid Pokemon like you eat berries! Well, eat fatty berries so you don't have to be as skinny as a rail! And why are you pink, by the way? Thats a redundant color! And what region do you come from? Pinklos? Hoo hoo!"
Archen prodded them in the side with his claws as Hydreigon chatted away.
"Don't listen to him, he always talks his head off. I wonder why he's here, he is supposed to be in Munna's office right now!" whispered the Archen.
"Wait, Pokemon can be civilized?" said Sylvie, raising an eyebrow.
Archen smiled.
"You two, you're so funny! There is a town Pokemon live in just outside Accumula Town! In fact, I'll show you it!"
Before the Sylveons could comprehend what was happening, Archen hauled them like prize Miltanks out the hotel and into the thick woods.

Just when getting prodded by curious Ferrothorns and Slakings was getting annoying, the thick grass stopped and a sand path opened up, leading into a group of brick buildings.
Two Pokemon were guarding the gates, both intimidating. There was a gargantuan Serperior and a rusty Klingklang, talking to each other in boredom.
When they saw Archen, they forced out grins.
"Why, hello, Archen, you're here again. My my, you've brought friends with you!" clanked the Klingklang, spinning like a top.
"Clearance given. You may enter Tao Town, Archen. Your friends may also enter." growled the Serperior.
Just when they stepped through the yawning steel gates, Serperior screeched.
"What?" screeched the Klingklang in panic.
Serperior clutched her head.
"I... feel something. Let me see both Sylveons!"
Sylvie and Sarah darted in front of her, eyes wide.
Suddenly, her eyes glowed blue, emitting a creepy aura.
"Sylvie and Sarah... I sense you have a dark path in front of you. The legendaries are once more clashing, despite being frozen in stone. Seek out the wrongly named Samurott for more information...."
Serperior collapsed, and Klinklang hurried over to her.
Archen screeched an odd cry, and immediately a Charizard flew down with an Azurill on top.
Lifting up Serperior, they flew off to a tall building with a medical cross emblemed on it.
"Will Serperior be fine?" asked Sylvie, nervously.
Klingklang nodded sternly.
After that, the only chatting was Archen showing them around.

Once they saw all of the little houses and buildings, they had seen it all. Just when they were thinking this, Chatots started to cry out like roosters.
"Its dawn! Get back to the hotel before Zachary and Lindsey think we've been stolen!" panicked Archen.
As he spoke, Sylvie and Sarah bounded over rocks and trees nimbly to get home, Archen trailing behind crying "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaait!" in desperation at their sudden departure.
Author's Note: Serperior and Hydreigon belong to Perry4464. Be sure to sign up before they get too far into Unova!

Chapter 2: Announcement

Sylvie awoke in her ball, stuffy cushions underneath her. Lindsey bounced her around on her belt, and she had no choice but to cling on for her life.
Accumula Town looked and smelled nice, with the aroma of Combee all around and a lovely melody playing from the house on the hill.
Just as they were headed towards the center, a fat man dressed in classy robes was escorted by knight-like servants up onto the green grass to their left, and people gathered.
"What is that?" whispered Sylvie.
The Snivy in the ball next to her raised a leafy eyebrow.
"I dunno, ribbon-boy. Go trip in a mud puddle." growled the Snivy.
Sylvie looked away. The nerve of the sassy Snivy, sassing her with style!
"Greetings, ladies and gentlemen. I want nothing but to portray an important message to y'all." boomed the large man.
Everyone nervously glanced at each other as he swept his meaty hand out as if to handshake a Shiftry.
"We think of Pokemon as equals to us, but are they? We order them around while they get hurt for no reward! Do our beloved creatures deserve such treatment? Free your Pokemon today, and think of this message for a while, ladies and gentlemen. G'day."
Suddenly, three men in black swooped out of nowhere, grabbing the man and escorting him towards Route 2.
The crowd was whispering by now as they dispersed to everyday life.
As Accumula Town was silenced again, a teenager appeared out of nowhere!
"Wha...?" growled Sylvie.
The green-haired fellow smiled weakly.
"Forgive me. I have a habit of sneaking up on people. I wonder what is wrong with that Ghetsis fellow, he likes to be... dramatic. Care to battle? I have time to kill." said the teenager.
Lindsey seemed to raise an eyebrow.
"So he is named Ghetsis? How would YOU know?" she said.
N smiled, as if they had just exchanged an inside joke.
"I take that as a yes. Go, Zorua!"
A red and black Pokemon popped out, growling as a wolf-like Pokemon should do.
"Go, Snivy! Its up to you!"
A giant hand picked up the ball next to Sylvie, and she sighed a sigh of relief. That Snivy was so annoying that Sylvie would find pleasure in seeing it faint.
Curling her ribbons, Sylvie pawed at the ball to adjust her view.
Zorua attempted a tackle, but Snivy dodged and kicked Zorua. The Pokemon cried out, then used Dark Pulse.
"Argh! So many bad memories!" growled Snivy as she tried to cover her face from the dark aura.
The teenager smiled.
"Why, Snivy, my Zorua has been through a lot. Don't worry, it will let up in a moment."
Snivy looked surprised at how he sensed what she said, and so was Sylvie. How was he supposed to understand them?
When the Dark Pulse stopped, Snivy took the chance to use Vine Whip. Vines cracking against Zorua's back, the Pokemon promptly collapsed, unable to take more.
"Zorua, great job! Retreat!"
A flash of red light blinded Sylvie, and Zorua was gone.
Snivy smirked.
Fishing out some cash from his pocket, the teenager handed Lindsey prize money.
"Here. Have it. I have a lot of money anyways. Also, I'll tell you my name: N."
Lindsey smiled.
"N. How mysterious."
Before she finished her sentence, though, N had vanished.
Author's Note: The story isn't going very fast right now because we haven't got the Striaton badge yet. I forgot the name, so don't expect me to say it!

Chapter 1: Begin

Sylvie huddled under the tall leaves of the bush, slowly eating the Watmei berry she found while roaming the wilderness.
"Sylvie."
Sylvie turned around, to see Sarah padding towards her, ribbons floating around her head.
"Lets be careful, earlier today the scouts around the town saw two trainers leave Nuvema Town with a stash of Pokeballs and Pokemon. They are sure to go after us, non-native Pokemon and all.
Sylvie nodded, pricking her ears to listen for the crunching of human feet.
They were Sylveons, rare Pokemon that came here from Kalos, that now lived in Unova due to... extreme circumstance. They both wore shiny seashell necklaces that were from their native Eevee Clan in Kanto, fabled to summon the legendary Yveltal and Xerneas.
Listening carefully, Sylvie heard a few, heavy feet pad by.
"Hey, Zachary, what should we catch? I mean, Oshawott and Snivy seem to need a little oomph to back up their technique."
Sarah glanced at Sylvie worrisomely. Trainers talking about catching Pokemon was NEVER a good sign.
"Sylvie. Lets go swim together to the beach just ahead so we don't have to worry anymore on Route 1." mouthed Sarah.
"But... you don't swim well, and besides, berries are rare over there! A Milotic could attack us!"
Sarah replied, "Its the only way."
Glancing out of the tall grass, Sylvie made sure the trainers weren't looking at them, then ran across to the river.
Sarah did the same, but not very quietly.
"Ow!" cried a little Flebebe. The tiny creature drifted away on the wind. Sarah sprinted for the berry bushes, but it was too late.
"Dude! New Pokemon! And one is shiny!" cried the boy, his eyes almost as wide as dinner plates.
"I bet they're super powerful!" replied the girl, tossing a red and white Pokeball as she spoke.
"Go, Snivy!"
A green, white and yellow Pokemon leapt out, glaring at the Sylveons.
"I have never seen this species, even after years in Juniper's lab. Hmph. I think I'll demonstrate my power!" mumbled the Snivy. The Pokemon tackled Sylvie, seemingly sniffing the Sylveon's scent out, and pinned her.
"Let. Go. Of. Me." growled Sylvie, clawing the Snivy's belly.
Getting back up, she saw that Sarah wasn't doing well. The Oshawott had used Water Gun and damaged Sarah, despite Sarah being, like, 45 "levels" higher. Now, Sarah was struggling to land a hit, blasting Oshawott with Moonblast repeatedly.
"Snivy! Use Vine Whip!"
Two powerful green vines came out of Snivy's neck, and whipped Sylvie, blasting her into the trees.
"Great, Snivy! Take a good rest!" the girl said, and Snivy was sucked back into her ball.
"How horrendous. Being captive. Those humans want me for my shiny pelt, as far as I know." growled Sylvie.
Launching herself off the branch, she landed on Oshawott, tackling him and using Trump Card at point-blank range.
"Grr..." cried Oshawott.
Oshawott fainted, and the boy called him back sadly.
Just as they were going to flee, the humans started to throw balls at them, running almost as fast as Speed Deoxys.
"Run!" cried Sarah, sprinting towards the river.
Just as Sarah plunged into the icy water, the boy threw a wad of sleep powder, and Sarah started to weaken.
"Flee... Let them get me instead of you..."
Just then, Sarah sunk into the river, and a ball caught her. The ball floated on the water, rumbling as Sarah clearly struggled, then a burst of light.... and Sylvie lost Sarah to the humans.
"NO!"
Tears stinging her like Beedrills, Sylvie plunged into the water, quickly swimming away.
Just as the boy picked up his ball, the girl pointed her finger at Sylvie.
"The shiny one is getting away! Zachary, do you have more Foongus sleep powder?" she cried.
"Zachary" reached into his blue bag, to come up with five Potions, ten Pokeballs, his fainted Oshawott... and that was it.
"Curses! No powder left! We'll just have to capture her the hard way."
A smile crept across the girl's face like a Seviper in stealth mode.
"Well, then I have a special ball Mom gave me that should do the trick, but first lets try a few Pokeballs." said the girl. Zachary nodded, and ran towards Sylvie.
Swimming harder, Sylvie kicked up more spray as she desperately tried to get to the beach ahead.
Beneath her, a giant Milotic glared at Sylvie's belly.
"A non-water type. She doesn't deserve to share the water with us."
Without warning, the rainbow-colored serpent leered up, and blasted Sylvie backwards into Zachary.
"Go, Pokeball! Don't let go of that Pokemon!"
The smooth ball hit Sylvie's leg, and darkness came over her.
Sylvie struggled to stay awake, and pushed against the plastic.
"Don't keep me! I want to get Sarah free!" cried Sylvie.
If balls had minds, the Pokeball seemed to regret trying to capture her. In a burst of blue light, Sylvie came out, a little ruffled.
"Aargh! Almost had it!" cried the girl, stamping her foot.
Taking out a black ball, Sylvie barely had time to get on shore and shake her fur out before the ball hit her.. and darkness overwhelmed her senses.
Before she blacked out, the girl screeched, "Yes! My first captured Pokemon!"
All went black.

Author's Note: I renamed Sabrina Sarah because it sounded a lot more like the word "Sylveon". How did you like the first chapter?
